Psst! Over Here!!! Holiday Baby Revealed !!!!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

I have been so busy with work and the holidays, I barely have time for anything else. Just an update on Dakota Blaire, she is on her way to her new family and should be arriving any day!!! She is a very nice Christmas surprise for one lucky lady with gifts for mommy :0)

Well I wanted to share my latest baby with everyone. I have stated before I am a kit hoarder and have collected many oldies but goodies. I like to sit them up on a shelf and bring them down when I am ready to breath life into them. She has been a secret thus far, sooooooo !!!!! She is the retired "Maya" Cradle scuplt by Linda Murray. I have not come across an African American/ Ethnic version of this sculpt so for the past year I have been itching to create her in my own artistic style. I have chosen some very cute and girlie outfits for her :0)

She is not complete yet, I still have to assemble her and add some finishing touches, pluck and add a few hairs...... Well let me know what you think. I find that the unassembled photos of my babies are not true indications of how they will look once completed but its a start. I can't wait to finish her and dress her up :0) he has a full head of beautiful shiny curls and a splendid rich bronzed hazelnut complexion.

Here she is :

Will post pics once she is completed. Lighting was awful today :0(

P.S. I forgot to tell you her name it's Amaya Delaney!

On My To Do List !!!

Hi All,

Well I just wanted to talk about two new sculpt 's that I can't wait to get my little paws on :0) I have been drooling over Marita Winter's "Benji" sculpt and Laura Tuzio Ross's "Josiah". I can't wait to bring them to life in my own unique style !! Sometimes it can be so frustrating because, I have way to many ideas and babies who I would love to create and as I have said so many times not enough hands :0( It takes me a while now to finish a baby. I'm hoping that I will be able to get back into my routine soon! Well back to my lab to work on my holiday baby. Here are a couple of pics of the sculpts that I mentioned above :

Benji by Marita Williams

Off Today and Startng My Holiday Baby!

Hello :0)

I have chosen my "Holiday Baby" and sticking with it. This baby will be a surprise!! I have been wanting to paint this sculpt for a while now. I can't remember coming across an ethnic or AA version of this baby. I guess that is why I have been itching to create one. I love this baby's facial features and limbs, so dainty. Well I can't give any hints, but she will be a stunner. Oh, I originally was going to paint Poppy by Romie Strydom but I have placed her back on the shelf for now. I absolutely love that sculpt, I have one for me and one for you !LOL. No,  Romie Strydom 'Holiday Baby" this year :0) I will keep you posted, still working on my little boy "Skylar" by Debbie DeGraff.

Sneeky Peeky at Dakota Blaire

Here is a sneek peek of little Dakota Blaire as promised! I have been a busy bee today :0) I still have some work to finish on this lil diva :0) I just wanted to share some pics of her. I love her complexion.  My favorite part of reborning is creating a variety of skintones that is unique for each of my lil bubbies.   I try to paint the most realistic skintones  that are indicative to a real newborns  soft and dewy skin :0) I hope you enjoy what you see. Well here she is:

The Apple of My Eye :0)

Yes. I am at it again with Nahla Laraiyah. I am in love with her little red boots! I just love this little girl!!!! Just a few updates. Dakota Blaire is almost finished and will be ready soon. She has been a long work in progress. Please stay tuned :0)

Sharing a Spiritual Story

Hi Everybody,

Some times I like to deviate away from my dolly activities if I have something that I feel is important for me to share. Especially if it can help someone else, or just enlighten those who do not know. I would like to share some heart felt information with you guys about a woman with one of the most courageous souls I know. She is so very dear to my heart and will always hold a special place in my life. This woman was my stepmother at one point in my life before her and my father divorce. She is my baby sister's mother, and my father's ex- wife. Although my baby sister and I have different mothers she has been there for me more than my own maternal mother. I would like to share her book with everyone so you can read about her life's journey. All the while dealing with a disease that most people never truly empathize with. Aslo, never being sympathetic with the individuals loved ones or someone we may know who are suffering  alone. Please support her book and read about the trials that she has had to endure while fighting HIV. You will not be able to put her book down once you start it. It is truly an inspiring book. Here is the book cover.

Thanks for stopping by !!

Oh Nah Nah Whats My Name?

Hey Everybody!!!
Can you tell I am having to much fun with this little girl? This is what I sing to her Rihanna's song "Oh Na Na".  My daughter just giggles :0) I shared a few of her pics on FB and thanks for all the lovely comments. Sorry, Ronda she is not for sell, I just can't let her go. She was made just for me!!!! Here's Na Na (AKA Nahla Laraiyah) :

My Hubby told me her hat and outfit was adorable :0)

On to my next topic:
Well dolly friends thank you for responding to my "Who would you like to see next?". Sorry for those of you who have been having trouble logging into my blog comment area and have reached out to me. I will share what Michelle "Isabella Grace's" mommy shared on FB :

Co-sign on the new Suu Kyi scuplt with a twist--I'd love to see you do holiday fraternal twins/ Suu Kyi and LuLu by Adrie Stoete of course as blasian babies. Love Adrie's sculpts!! Lila by Romie or Rainer in a lighter AA skintone (carmel tone) of course any baby you do will be great. FYI: the Easter baby you did this year was Noah sculpt and she was awesome!

Thanks Michelle! I actually have an extra Rainer and Lila sculpts and planned on doing a lighter Rainer and a chocolate and light Lila.  I dont know why Parker Roze escaped my brain.  I don't know why some have been having trouble posting on my blog.  Do you have a google acct? Thanks either way I will try to post your reply.

So I have a couple of treats up my sleeve for this holiday season. We all know how much I love Romie's sculpts and always will. I have some oldies but goodies coming in the near future. (Moo Hooo Haaa haa  >;)

Morning !!!!
I am off today and have much to do. I have to send off the Giveaway kit to Carolyn :0) Paint Aiden Omari my Skylar by Debbie DeGraff. Well, since everyone knows who this sculpt is now and for those of you who already knew, I am so in love with her sculpts Debbie DeGraff has been showing on FB. There are a couple little cuties she has been working on, that I have been drooling over (18 inch twins I believe). I have a knack for wanting to create ethnic and AA babies in various sculpts that I may not have noticed anyone else create :0)

Ok now on to my question. I think all of my dolly friends know that every year now, since I have been in this art, that I have created a "Holiday Baby". Last year it was Bintleigh Noel for Christmas which was a "Claire sculpt by Romie Strydom" one of my all time absolutley fav sculptresses :0) I also created an Easter baby as well, which has eluded my mind at this moment. Well anyway, I wanted someone elses suggestion on what sculpt they would like to see created! I have tons of ideas and other sculpts. I even have a Saoirse on my work desk with just base coats on but she is for me !!!!!

I always seem to get side tracked, so who would you like to see me create ? Don't be shy :0)
I will eventually share who I have in mind or who I was planning on completing!

Slow Mo Mode!!!! / Kit Giveaway (Won)

Hey :0)

I have been feeling exactly as my title describes in "slow mo mode" ! Although that never keeps me from shopping! LOL. I just picked up some extremely cute outfits for my little boy his name is Aiden Omari. His outfits are in my favorite color green. (I love pea green, olive green, mint green.....  the soft muted shades :0) The outfits shown below are some other apparel that also caught my eye (that darn wondering eye.....) I am so excited about this little guy. I think it's because this sculpt has been on my brain for a while. I will keep posting updated pics of his progress.  I just wanted to share a few adorable outfits I came across while shopping for my little ones. I swear I could open up a store with all of the baby gear I have acquired !LOL

Oh for those of you who are my dolly friends and are interested..... Who ever guesses my sculpt which was posted prior to this entry (Guess Who?) first, will receive a free Olive sculpt by Jessica Schenk . Now this sculpt is actually a seconds sculpt which means it was a discounted kit which may have some minor defects and no certificate of authenticity. All you have to do is post the correct answer in the comment section below. I will ship free any where in the US. I have way to many kits and I will probably never get to her, plus I have an extra one.LOL
(Thank you for all who participated and who had difficulty  signing on. Big Congrats!!!!  to Carolyn Partridge from Texas has won ;0)

P.S. Some other good news about Jillian Sanaa. She has arrived safely to her new Mommy Chequita and family. She is much loved and her new family was ecstatic upon her arrival. I am so happy that her new mommy loves her. Thank you for all the wonderful compliments and kind words my friend,  Mommy C :0) Oh and thank you so much for your patience !!!

Guess Who?

Hi !
I actually had the day off and worked on a new somebody :0) Can anyone guess who this cutie pie is? This is a wonderful sculpt. I love this baby's lips. I have been eyeballing some of this artist newer sculpts as well. They are so gosh darn cute!!! This baby has definitely left an impression on me from day one. So now I have some time to mastermind ! There is no rhyme or reason for what sculpts I choose. I choose scuplts which peak my interest. There are so many talented sculptresses and sculpts I consider my favorites I just don't have enough hands. I can also envision how I want my babies to look before they are created.

In saying all that, I have only applied a few base coats for now. I hope to keep this baby a boy! I have been wanting to reborn this lil one for quite some time now. Chequita you are not allowed to participate since I mentioned this one to you!! LOL

Well some other news, I have started painting Dakota Blaire's downy hairs and would like to start rooting soon. I just have been such a busy bee and have not had enough time for my dolly obsession. Well here are some pics of my new baby, see if you can guess who and leave me a message :

Good Night Everyone :0)
